Dame Dash Pops Off In Lyor Cohen Rant, Joe Budden Says He'll "Organize The Smoke"

Image
It legit took seconds for the mogul to heat up. Dame Dash hopped on a call during the latest episode of  The  Joe Budden  Podcast . The rapper/host hit him up to ask him, "what exactly is a culture vulture and why is Lyor one?" Dame laughs before clearing his throat to share his thoughts about the term in relation to Lyor Cohen. "A culture vulture is someone that exploits the culture that he's not a part of, doesn't benefit the culture and takes care of his culture and has no respect for the culture he's exploiting [ ...] He's been making money off of our culture. He is not part of it. And he's been exploiting it, never helping, teaching, or anything. Doing what's in the best interest of his own pocket over the culture. And to add insult to injury, he is not accepted in his own culture. He cannot get no money in his own culture so he comes to ours, acts like a big cat, pretends we need him when we don't."  Dash names nepotis...

Missy Elliott Co-Signs Ox Horn-Toting "Funky White Sister"

Image
Missy Elliott's "funky white sister" steps to the mic with horn in hand.  In case you missed it, a woman by the name of Mary Halsey recently found viral glory while delivering a masterful rendition of Missy Elliot's "Work It." Packing what looks to be the Horn Of Helm Hammerhand from  Lord Of The Rings  in one hand and a microphone in the other, Missy's self-proclaimed "funky white sister" proceeds to throw down a clearly rehearsed rendition of the bawdy, iconic hit.  As it plays out, it becomes difficult to assess whether one should be cringing or respecting the genuinely faithful rendition. The woman even masterfully slips into backwards-speak with surprising efficacy. And don't worry, she doesn't spare some of the song's more x-rated moments, including the iconic pre-date grooming ritual. Rest assured, the park was alive with unspoken energy on that particular afternoon. With the clip gaining viral traction, it didn...

Chance The Rapper Shares His Three Favorite "Watch The Throne" Tracks

Image
Chance The Rapper's top three "Watch The Throne" tracks may open the floor for debate. Watch The Throne  is one of those magical albums, monumental in scope, yet enjoyable across the board. Borne of a simpler era, where brothers Jay-Z and  Kanye West  stood united, the album became a fan favorite immediately upon release. Now, on the album's seven year anniversary,  Chance The Rapper  has taken to Twitter to voice his selections for "top three" tracks. Like a true hipster, the man actually included a bonus track in his top tier rankings, so make of that what you will. Regardless, the omission of introductory cut "No Church In The Wild" is alarming to say the least. "Top 3 songs on WTT unquestionably," writes Chance: "Why I Love You, Gotta Have It, and The Joy." After being met with slight confusion, Chance took the opportunity to clarify that "The Joy's" status as a bonus track led to a decrease in listener...

As it turns out, the trio of eye-catching kicks, including the 70s-inspired pair, are part of an upcoming "Decades Pack" that will release sometime this month. According to  Nike , each of the kicks in the Kyrie 4 "Decades Pack" feature characteristics from three defining decades – the individual expressiveness of the '70s, the bold creativity of the '80s, and the childhood nostalgia of the '90s. Each shoe has design elements that point both to a decade and to a piece of Kyrie Irving's personality. Per  Nike , the Kyrie 4 '70s channel Irving's deft, dance-like handles through the psychedelic print on the quarter panel. The neon fluorescent patterns of the Kyrie 4 '80s honor Irving...
